Cookies and trackers

Text version: 2026-10-11

This document sets out everything Sakalm stores or reads on your phone and in your browser: cookies, local storage, technical identifiers. It supplements the privacy policy.

THE ESSENTIALS

• No advertising cookie, no audience measurement, no tracker. Anywhere.

• The sakalm.com website stores no cookie.

• The app and the admin, coach and CRM spaces only keep what makes them work: your login, your settings, your activities waiting to be sent.

• These items are strictly necessary: the law does not require your consent for them. That is why there is no cookie banner.

• Nothing that is kept is used to follow you from one site or app to another, or to show you advertising.

WHAT THE LAW SAYS

• In France and in Europe, storing or reading information on your device requires your consent, unless it is strictly necessary for the service you ask for (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, and the European ePrivacy directive).

• Everything Sakalm stores falls within that exception. We describe it to you anyway, as the CNIL recommends.

• If we ever added a tracker that needs your consent, audience measurement or advertising for example, it would only be stored after your consent. You could refuse as simply as you accept, and this document would be updated first.

ON THE SAKALM.COM WEBSITE

• No cookie, no storage in your browser, no script from another site.

• No audience measurement: we do not know how many people visit the site.

• The contact form prepares an email in your mail app. Nothing is recorded on our side.

• Our host, Cloudflare, receives your IP address to serve you the pages and protect the site against attacks. If it has to check that a visitor is not a robot, it may set a security cookie, “__cf_bm” (thirty minutes) or “cf_clearance” (the length of the check, thirty minutes by default). These cookies are used for that alone.

IN THE ADMIN.SAKALM.COM, COACH.SAKALM.COM AND CRM.SAKALM.COM SPACES

These spaces store no cookie. They keep in your browser’s local storage:

• “sakalm.admin.session” (admin and coach spaces) and “sakalm.crm.session” (CRM): your login. Without it, you would have to log in again on every page. Erased when you log out.

• “sakalm.admin.langue”: the language you chose, French or English.

• “sakalm.crm.vu” and “sakalm.crm.depuis”: the time of your last action and of your login. They are used to log you out after two hours without activity, and after twelve hours at most. It is a security measure.

• These items stay in your browser until you log out, or until you clear the site’s data.

IN THE APP

The app stores no cookie. It keeps on your phone, in its own space that other apps cannot read:

• Your login, in the phone’s secure vault (the Keychain on iPhone, the Keystore on Android). Erased when you log out.

• Your settings: language, units, appearance, route settings, home screen layout.

• Your activities waiting to be sent if the network dropped, and the activity in progress. They go out as soon as the network is back.

• Copies of what you have already seen, so that the app opens quickly, even without a network: your profile, your home screen, what you have already read.

• Markers so that we do not ask you the same question twice: permissions already offered, news already seen, sessions already offered from Apple Health or Health Connect.

• All this stays on your phone for as long as the app is installed. Part of it is erased when you log out or change account. Deleting the app erases everything.

THE IDENTIFIERS THE APP SENDS TO PROVIDERS

• No advertising identifier. The app never reads Apple’s or Google’s advertising identifier. It does not ask for Apple’s tracking permission, because it does not track you.

• The notification token, if you accept notifications. Apple or Google creates it, and Expo (650 Industries, United States) receives it to deliver our notifications to you. It designates your phone, not you, and is erased with your account. If you refuse notifications, it is not created.

• The update identifier: a random number drawn at installation, sent to Expo when the app downloads an update. It is used to deliver the right version and says nothing about you. It disappears if you delete the app.

• Maps: Apple Maps on iPhone, Google Maps on Android. The map service receives the map areas displayed, in order to draw them, as in any app that shows a map.

• Payment: when you pay in the app, Apple or Google collects the money. A number linking the payment to your Sakalm account goes with it, so that the subscription or theme reaches the right account. It is used for nothing else.

WHAT THE APP SENDS US SO THAT IT WORKS WELL

• When it crashes: the error message, the screen concerned, the app version, the system version and the phone model. They reach our own server, with no third-party service, and are erased after three months. They are linked to your account, so that we can help you if the app keeps crashing.

• The state of your permissions (location, notifications), to understand why an activity is not recorded or why a notification does not arrive.

• The date you last opened the app, as the privacy policy explains.

“DO NOT TRACK” AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL

• Your browser may send a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal.

• Sakalm does not follow anyone from one site to another, sells no data and shares none for advertising purposes. These signals therefore change nothing: you already have what they ask for.

• No third party can, through Sakalm, collect information about you across sites or over time.

HOW TO STAY IN CONTROL

• In your browser: you can clear a site’s data in its settings. You will then be logged out of the space concerned.

• On your phone: permissions (location, notifications, photos, camera, microphone, Apple Health or Health Connect) are withdrawn in the phone’s settings, under Sakalm. Deleting the app erases everything it kept.

• For your account and your data: the privacy policy, under “Your rights”.
